Live Room

The studio's main recording room, the live room is a large and comfy room that boasts a great sound and plenty of space to cater to a whole range of setups and recordings. Aailable for use upon hire of the space, the live room houses the studio's drums, guitars and the upright piano, not to mention the world's best wallpaper!

Control Room

Located in-between the live room and tracking booth, the comfortable control room is the hub of the studio and houses the Soundcraft mixing desk and recording equipment. It offers a smaller, more intimate space for recording and mixing sessions as well. The control room is linked with a window into the tracking booth, and a camera system is used to provide a view to the live room.

Tracking Booth

The tracking booth is smaller and cosier than the live room, making it perfect for recording things such as vocals or acoustic instruments.

Amenities

The studio has a small lounge space with tables and seating, just adjacent to the kitchen.

There is some limited off-road parking subject to availability on the day of your session. There are also multiple public pay and display car parks within a five minute walk of the premises.

There is a Travelodge hotel a two minute walk and a Premier Inn a five minute walk away, should you need accommodation.

Food & Drink

A selection of complementary teas and coffee is available. There will be oat milk for you in the fridge, however if you prefer dairy milk, feel free to bring along your own.

The City

Crammed with history (just look at the castle and cathedral), and with a thriving modern culture, Norwich is a fine city. With two universities, a great live music scene with venues such as Norwich Arts Centre, Epic Studios and the UEA LCR as well as an abundance of cafes, bars and small businesses, Norwich is a place full of creatives.

Mobirise

Music is a personal thing and no two projects will be the same; day rates are competitive, so get in touch for a chat about what you want to achieve.

Studio Time

Day rates at the studio are for an 8 hour session including breaks, and typically run from 9am until 5pm. Hire includes the studio engineer, Dylan, and mixes of the recordings. Preliminary mixes of your work will be available after your session.

Please get in touch to discuss arrangements if you would like to to bring your own engineer with you.

The studio can also provide session musicians should you need them for your projects, and this can be prepared beforehand.

Mixing

We can also mix tracks recorded here or at other studios. Different rates are available for singles, EPs and albums. Should you wish to attend mix sessions, this can be arranged.

Mixing at Fine City entails use of a wide range of tools and audio toys, both inside the computer and in the analog domain.

Mastering

Similar to mixing, mastering rates differ per project size. Stem mastering options are also available. Get in touch to chat about what's best for your mixes in the final stages before your fans hear them.
